On the day of the training course you need to come to the indicated place in the Pyrenees at 9h in the morning (on time!) We choose the site depending on snow conditions. We always select a site that is accessible by car. We will send around directions well in advance. We will provide the necessary tools: special gloves, saws and blades. All you need to bring are warm and robust shoes to stay several hours in the snow. If you have snow boots all the better as we won’t walk a lot to keep your feet warm. Next to an anorak we recommend to bring a warm pullover so that you can take off your coat while working (you will sweat easily in your anorak). A pair of water-proof ski or snow trousers are also recommended. The training sessions will last till 13h. After the session we will serve you a snack and warm drinks to heat up again. If you are interested in this activity please check the online calendar and fill in your dates. We will come back to you to confirm your request and provide you with directions to the meeting point. We will meet there at 9h in the morning. Usually we meet at the Pla d’Anyella because it is a safe spot and there are many facilities near by (as some chalets to stay if you do not want to get up so early). However, sometimes we also choose a different spot, depending on snow conditions (Ordino, Coll de Pal, Guils etc…) We also have to take into account other activities that are scheduled in the area. We will charge you only 10 Euros per person for the training sessions. After you have sent your request you will receive an email indicating the different possibilities to pay. Note: The participation fee does not represent a payment for a specific service and does not establish any contractual relationship. We are a non-profit association with the aim to promote the construction and use of igloos. The fee permits us to fund this activities and cover the cost we encounter. No refund is possible. If the activity is impossible due to force majeure we will arrange an alternative date. As you can see form the calendar/schedule there are training sessions before and after the Ohmamiglu.
